Corlese Todd
Hello my name is Corlese Todd.
Three words to describe me are down-to-earth, loyal, and compassionate.
When I’m not teaching yoga I'm juggling two teenagers (send help!), refereeing two mini-Aussies, honing my yoga skills, and pondering if 8:00 PM is too early for bedtime.
My ideal morning is waking on my own, leisurely making my way out of bed, savoring an iced coffee and egg whites before heading to a yoga or fitness class.
I dream about what I want to be when I grow up and then I dream about never growing up.
I am grateful for my supportive family, great friends, and the good times we’ve shared.Yoga has taught me to accept and let go. And also to never say, “I can’t…”
I love to teach and spread my love of movement, whether in a yoga studio or beyond. I firmly believe any form of movement can work wonders for your body and mind.
Three words to describe my teaching style are strong, intentional, and balanced.
As a teacher, I aim for a practice that challenges yet welcomes all. I want students to feel empowered to push boundaries and discover their true potential. And as a teacher, I am always learning myself!
Music you might hear in my class is a mix of chill beats, acid jazz, alternative/indie, and spa vibes.
My yoga experience includes a brief introduction to hot yoga in 2006, followed by a seven-year hiatus, and a reintroduction in 2013 that saved me! I suffered chronic back pain that ended with me getting surgery in 2010. After having my second child in 2012, I had similar back pain again. I did not think drugs or surgery were the answer, so I sought out other solutions. Enter in hot yoga again! In under a year, my back pain was practically gone sparking my passion for sharing its magic with others. I attended an intense 500-hour yoga teacher training, further solidifying my love of yoga, movement, and teacher trainings!
I am excited to be a part of the Harmony House community because I love the team, the students, and the overall vibe of the studio.
