Nicole Chanley
Hello my name is Nicole
Three words to describe me are kindhearted, considerate and practical.
When I'm not teaching yoga I love to practice yoga, get crafty, spend time outside- especially playing in water, hiking & going camping!
My ideal morning is one where I wake up in a sleeping bag, somewhere beautiful! And one where I get to start my day slowly with a cup of coffee and an amazing view.
I dream of traveling more, seeing the world and reconnecting with people and places from my past.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have my 'job' be sharing my love of yoga with others!
Yoga has taught me a lot about myself. And the importance of slowing down and listening.
I love to teach feel good classes! I cultivate a deep connection with the breath at the beginning of class and let that breath set the pace and tone for the practice. Expect to leave my classes with a sense of accomplishment and a smile!
Three words to describe my teaching style are fluid, supportive, grounding.
As a teacher, I hope to nurture and encourage.
Music you might hear in my class is Trevor Hall, Sam Garret, DJ Drez, Janet Stone, Govind Das & Rhada, MC Yogi, + many others! I love a good beat, and encourage letting the music move you!
My yoga experience includes many years of personal practice which eventually led me to take my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. Dedicated to remaining a student as well as a teacher, I attend yoga classes, workshops and teacher trainings to continue my education. I also enjoy attending yoga festivals, where I have had the opportunity to take classes from some wonderful teachers including Janet Stone, MC Yogi, Kia Miller, Nicki Doane, Shiva Rea +many more.
I am excited to be part of the Harmony House community because I have grown so much in my own practice in the studio and community. This place holds a special place in my heart and teaching to this loving community is such a gift!
