Alana Smith Grove

Hello my name is Alana.

Three words to describe me are insightful, sensitive, creative.

When I’m not teaching yoga I love to be at the beach - in the water or laying on the sand enjoying the warmth of the sun.

My ideal morning is slow, mindful, and full of lovely sensory experiences. I love waking up alarmless, taking time to enjoy my coffee with a good book in my backyard, and taking a walk to the water to smell the ocean.

I dream of supporting people in connecting more deeply to their own hearts, and with that, becoming more curious about and sensitive to the hearts of each other.

I am grateful for this beautiful land we get to live on, and especially, to the ocean.

Yoga has taught me that I am always home.

Three words to describe my teaching style are intentional, dynamic, and well-aligned.

As a teacher, I hope to provide a space for you to connect to your vitality and inquire more deeply into yourself. I love teaching and creating classes that weave alignment, breath, and spiritual inquiry into a clear, safe, and dynamic practice.

Music you might hear in my class is full of ethereal, dreamy beats, sometimes with a sprinkle of intentional and uplifting lyrics, that allow you to deepen into the connection of your breath, your body, and intention.

My yoga experience includes a dedicated practice since 2012. I received my certification from Kelly Metcalf’s Journey Inward School of Yoga in 2017. I have deep reverence and love for my teachers and this practice that I will never stop learning from.

I am excited to be part of the Harmony House community because Harmony House is where I feel at home. This studio helped me heal and return to the sacred home within my own heart. I have deep love for this community.
