Rachel Nichols

Hello my name is Rachel Nichols.

Three words to describe me are curious, genuine, and kind

When I’m not teaching yoga I am hybrid-homeschooling my 3 kids, carting them to activities across the central coast, and trying to figure out how to get dinner on the table.

My ideal morning is sleeping in, then someone I love serves me a a plateful of avocado toast followed up by a black tea with oat milk while I read the New York Times. After slowly digesting my food, I roll out my mat for an uninterrupted yoga session followed by a walk with my dog. When I return, my husband has the car packed, our pop-up camper hitched up, bikes loaded, cooler filled, and we are all headed out on a camping trip somewhere we have never been before.

I dream about being the kind of mother my kids choose to hang out with when they are grown.

I am grateful for belly laughs.

Yoga has taught me to love all that I am.

I love to teach a slow-paced thoughtful yoga sequence that leaves the practitioner feeling at peace within and without.

Three words to describe my teaching style are smart, focused, solid.

As a teacher, I have been gifted a toolbox from my teachers and I hope I can do the same for you.

Music you might hear in my class is the sound of your breath.

My yoga experience includes a 500-hour certification through YogaWorks in San Francisco and teaching since 2008.

I am excited to be a part of the Harmony House community because seeing your beautiful faces within those warm wooden walls fills my soul.
