New Student Info
New Students:
Sign up at the studio for the Introductory offer of an unlimited month of yoga for $40! (An offer for new students only). Take as many classes as you'd like during this month and get to know the different yoga styles and teachers.
Which classes should I come to as a new student?
Most of our classes are ALL-Level, which provide the student with modifications to accommodate for any level. However, there are classes called BASIC YOGI and BALANCED YOGI that are perfect for the beginning student. Also, look for our Beginners Workshops, they are the fastest way to jump-start your practice. If they do not work with your schedule, contact us and we will work with you to determine the best way for you to begin your practice with us. Be patient with your progress! Over time, you will become familiar with the poses and you will soon be comfortable in any class on our schedule.
When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive to class 5- 10 minutes early. Punctuality is important. Please take your shoes off right when you enter and place into cubbies. Phones OFF or on SILENT (not vibrate) mode. Do unto others as you would like done to you.
Should I eat before yoga class?
Come to class on an empty stomach. It is generally best not to eat a heavy meal prior to class. A light meal 2-3 hours prior to class. If this is impossible, eat a light meal; perhaps a piece of fruit, or a juice.
What should I wear for my yoga practice?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in easily and bare clean feet. No perfume PLEASE... some students (or teachers) are very sensitive to smell, and as we will be breathing deeply in class, even more so.
Should I practice yoga if I have an injury?
ALWAYS let the teacher know if you have any chronic injuries or issues that might affect your ability to practice. Our teachers can offer modifications when necessary. Also, women, if you are menstruating and ESPECIALLY if you are pregnant, inform your teacher BEFORE class.
